1. Acceptance

Gickr.com ("Gickr", "we", "us") lets you turn pictures and videos into animated GIFs free of charge. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. The service

The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee of uptime, of the quality of a generated animation, or that generated files will be kept for any length of time. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every picture and video you upload. By uploading, you confirm that:

you own the material or otherwise have the right to use it;
using it here does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
you grant us the limited right to store and process the material for the sole purpose of producing your animation and, if you choose to publish it, showing it in our Gallery.

Generated animations are reachable by anyone who has their link. Do not use Gickr for material you need to keep private.

4. Prohibited use

You may not upload or create material that:

is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or harassing;
is pornographic, or depicts or sexualises minors in any way;
depicts graphic violence or promotes self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity;
contains malware, or is used to attack, overload or reverse engineer the service.

Automated or bulk use (scraping, scripted uploads, resale of the service) is not permitted without our written consent. We may remove any content and block any user at our discretion.

5. Content removal

If you believe something on Gickr infringes your rights or breaks these rules, email us with the link and a short explanation. We remove infringing and unlawful content once it is confirmed.

6. Third-party links and advertising

The site may link to, and may display advertising from, third parties. We do not control those sites or advertisers and are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gickr is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of the site. Because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to nothing beyond ceasing to provide it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
